I would love to thank the wonderful team at the day case unit at Melton Mowbray Hospital. I went into the hospital for corrective toe surgery and from the beginning to the end the care I received was excellent . Pam and Claire supported me before and after my operation with dignity , excellent care and compassion. Whilst in theatre I was cared for by a wonderful theatre team which included Debbie , Victoria, Alison and Andrea . I can’t thank Andrea enough for chatting to me whilst the operation took place , reassuring me. I’ve worked with Andrea before at the LGH and it was lovely to see a friendly face . She totally put me ease. There was a fantastic 2nd year student nurse, Jade you were amazing , your communication, compassion and care was outstanding. I can see you are going to make an amazing Nurse when you finish your training . I want to give a massive thanks to Nicola Donovan you have been so wonderful, from the original consultations to support through the operation and after . Your attention to detail, care, communication and compassion is amazing . Another massive thanks goes to Rajesh Jogia the fantastic consultant who performed the operation, Thank you so much for your wonderful care and excellent communication throughout this process and procedure . I work in the NHS and it’s a very humbling feeling to be the patient instead of the person who is care giving. You are an amazing team , and I can’t thank you all enough for the excellent communication, compassion, competence and care you have given me. |

I would like to thank all the staff at Melton Hospital after my operation there. Everyone was very friendly and helpful as soon as I arrived.Pam was my nurse and showed me to the ward went through everything I needed to know and was happy to answer any questions or concerns I may have had, she was very kind and caring after the operation when I was coming round from the anaesthetic along with another nurse. They then took me back on to the ward helped me to feel a lot better and made sure I was ok then did me the most appreciated cup of tea and toast with marmalade ( had to mention that because it was just perfect after the opp) Finally I wish to thank the anaesthetist who again went through everything with me prior to the operation and finally Dr Exon who performed the surgery, again every thing explained fully, took time to listen and go through any questions or concerns but mostly made sure everything was correct and I was happy to go ahead with my operation. Well done Melton Hospital and keep up the most excellent work your all doing |
