The food at pinderfields is lovely. I stayed 2 weeks and the only meal i didnt enjoy was the sunday lunch. (The beef was tough). I absolutely loved the jacket potatoes and cheese! But!! Since coming home, i have learned from my nurse that potato skins should be avoided for a while! Once i was allowed off my liquid only diet, jackets were on my menu at least once a day. I am not wanting to complain! But on those wards, surely they should let the patients know that they should not eat the skins. |

I gave birth to my first child at Pinderfields hospital in September. The whole hospital experience was absolutely brilliant. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, kind and competent. The compassion and genuine care both my partner and I experienced was really exceptional throughout our whole time there and really worthy of acknowledgement for how it impacted our whole experience. |

After a period of post menopausal bleeding I was referred to pinderfields under the 2 week cancer pathway! I was seen by the team and given a trans vaginal scan and was told my lining was thickened and I would need a biopsy. I had a biopsy done which was painless and a cervical polyp removed at the same time which I also found quite bareable. I waited about 3 weeks for the results and was told the polyp was benign and only benign polyp material was found on the womb biopsy so I was to have a hysteroscopy with a myosure procedure to remove any polyps. I was then taken of the 2 week pathway and awaited my appointment which changed quite a few times over the next few months. When my appointment finally arrived I had stupidly read some reviews of the hysteroscopy about it been barbaric and invasive and as I was having it awake, I was petrified.I really don’t know why! The dr and his team were lovely, explained what was happening and I can truthfully say it was no worse than a smear! I had local anaesthetic in my cervix and didn’t feel that either! Only thing I felt was pressure and barely any pain at all! All in all it was quite painless other than pressure and a strange feeling of water inside! I would not worry if I had to have another! |
