I was transferred from RSCH after being diagnosed with a prostatic abscess. In total I had been in hospital for five weeks. The staff, doctors, nursing staff and junior ward sister were all exceptionally outstanding in their care, kindness, knowledge and went the extra mile. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Although I was also recovering from sepsis I was always totally reassured and felt safe in the knowledge they knew exactly what was going on with my complications. My mother was admitted to the ward where she sadly passed away from terminal illness. Myself and my brothers can’t praise the staff of Ward 11 highly enough for the care and kindness they showed our Mum the entire time. The treatment, care, compassion and support Mum and our family received was outstanding and we are so grateful that what has been a desperately sad time was made easier by the wonderful team on the ward.
