I was advised to take my 4 year old daughter here because she had a hand injury that didnt seem to be improving & our nearest minor injuries unit didnt have any appointments. I phoned ahead to check I didnt need an appointment (I had to bring our newborn with me, too) & was told curtly just to bring her in. The receptionists were very efficient & we were told that there would be about a 30 min wait. We waited about 45 mins, which was fine & saw the doctor who looked at my daughters hand & said that they had no more appointments, had closed the unit to new patients & that I needed to come back tomorrow... I was advised to give her painkillers & rest her hand. All of this is sound advice & Im reassured that its not a serious injury, but Im so confused as to why I wasnt told on the phone or at reception that the unit was too busy to take new patients. Ive wasted nearly a couple of hours once Ive factored in the drive there & home & the waiting time, when we would have been better off staying at home! Also, the loos were pretty grim.

Had a mastectomy, couldnt have wished for better care, amazing staff, nothing was to much trouble. Looked after me extremely well. Thank you
