Merevale House Residential Home

My mother has just passed away after being a resident at Merevale House for the past four years.In that time I can honestly say that the staff never ceased to amaze me. They all showed genuine love, care and attention to detail at all times.They were not afraid to show that affection to all their residents. They showed respect at all times and gave Mum the chance to keep her pride and self esteem, which was so important to her.In the last days, they showed again that compassion to me, which helped so much at such a difficult time.Merevale House does not feel like a care home, but a true home to anyone and everyone living there.I can highly recommend to anyone needing to find that special place for their loved one.A beautiful Victorian building set by a canal, wonderful home cooked food, and an extremely warm and friendly atmosphere.

Our Mum has been a resident of Merevale for almost a decade after being diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's. From the very beginning the owners and staff treated Mum as if the home was her home. They have a holistic approach to the well being of residents that extends to their family. The level of care is truly outstanding, they treat residents with the utmost of respect and dignity unwavering in their approach. I truly can not over enthuse about the Magic of Merevale it is and has been the best place for Mum and has eased the family mental load of what inevitable is the most difficult of decisions of having to place a loved one in care. The founders legacy is faithfully being carried on by the present family owners and the very walls breath love and you are encompassed within the Merevale family. I can not recommend this care home enough it's well deserving to be recognised as outstanding.
