At HC-One our experienced Home Managers and members of staff ensure kindness is at the heart of everything we do.
We understand that meals are a very important part of our Residents’ day, our menus cover a variety of choices for each meal and a choice of snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are also available 24 hours a day.
Family and friends join Residents for meals which are served in the dining room or, if our Residents wish, they can choose to eat in the privacy of their own rooms.
Hobbies and interests
Our Activities Co-ordinator spends time with Residents to ensure popular pastimes are included within the weekly activities calendar which is displayed in the home, this includes:
• Professional entertainers
• Arts and crafts
• Gentle exercise
• Gardening
• Quizzes
• Church services
Many of our Residents find the one-on-one time with our members of staff particularly enjoyable.
Outdoor areas
Popular with Residents, our attractive garden has pleasant views overlooking the park and the bowling green.
The open patio area is a tranquil place for Residents to relax or socialise with family and friends.

May 29 2018 Brookdale View is a Lovely home which exceeds my expectations. the carers have a good sense of humour and uphold my dignity at all times. carers come to help as soon as you press the buzzer and sort out what is needed, lots of activities and trips take place . we went to blackpool ,up the tower and on the glass floor.we had delicious fish and chips and bought some rock and gifts . we also went to the Manchester fort and had a coffee, i had a vanilla latte and bought a mug.

They spend so much time with their residents, everyone always looks happy. Dad hasn't been this happy for a long time. It's like we've got the Dad back from 5 years ago and just goes to show how happiness can make such a difference to your health. The care that Dad receives is second to none. The culture in this home is lovely and they share a site with their sister home Averill House who are next door. Both homes integrate really well and the staff work great together. They often hold joint events and outings and Dad has made more friends at Averill House. Both homes are just lovely.
