Feb 8 2014 Staff are kind and particularly good at dealing with residents as individuals with own needs and preferences. Food is good quality and varied, and residents are given help and time to eat. Residents always seem comfortable and relaxed. Anyone looking for a safe, caring home could do much worse than Ambleside, although it is not the prettiest building and decor and facilities are dated. The range of activities on offer seems limited, so probably a less suitable home for the more able and active resident. Reasonable and fair fees, low staff turnover.
