Fair Haven

Fair Haven& provides long and short term residential care in 27 en-suite rooms. Making our residents lives happy and fulfilling is very important to us and we arrange many activities to encourage residents to remain physically, intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and socially active.& Part of this is for residents to be surrounded by personal furniture and favourite effects which make their rooms feel familiar.

Each resident has a tailored personal plan detailing the support needed which is reviewed regularly. We like residents and their families to be involved with care planning and welcome questions at any time.

Families and friends are important& and we encourage them to visit at any time and also to join in our activities. Residents are free to enjoy the privacy of their own rooms or sit with friends in one of our lounges or the conservatory.

Meals are served in the dining room and there is always a choice available but residents may& choose to eat& meals in their own rooms.

Activities

Our Activities Co-ordinator and staff arrange a varied and interesting programme of activities which includes:

art classes, gardening, music and movement, games, cooking, singing, celebrations, coffee mornings, trips out, mobile library, DVDs, newspapers and magazines, shopping

We look forward to residents telling us what they would like to see planned or changed in the daily life of Fair Haven. We hold regular communication meetings .

Bible readings, Bible talks, prayers, and hymn singing and services for members of the Christadelphian faith are held regularly in Fair Haven.

Facilities

Fair Haven is situated in a quiet tree-lined avenue within easy walking distance of Bournemouth cliff tops and seaside. The town centre is just a short bus ride away where you can enjoy shopping or just take in the sights and colours of the central gardens leading down to Bournemouth pier. Bournemouth has a very pleasant climate with mild winters and warm summers.
