Care Home Information |
At Highcroft we provide a luxurious environment for our Residents and specialise in improving their general health whenever possible, this is achieved with high quality medical and nursing care, together with a holistic approach to wellbeing. Highcroft is a Home for 23 Residents in a Victorian house situated in a private road, opposite a pretty, private park. Our care is carried out by a team of staff who are second to none, the majority of whom have been at Highcroft for a long period of time. The thanks and praise we receive from families is the result of their dedication to the work they carry out daily.& Our standards are high and difficult sometimes to maintain, but there is no staff member that want it any other way – they have told Inspectors in the past- they are proud to say they work at Highcroft. We ensure that Residents continue to have as much independence and control over their own lives as possible. We& encourage them to socialise, particularly at mealtimes, and to join in the entertainment sessions, but the choice is always theirs. Our homemade meals are prepared from fresh produce, with a delivery of fruit and vegetables three times a week.& Residents are given choices at every mealtime. The nutritional requirements of Residents is assessed individually with special diets being catered for. There are a choice of dishes at every meal. On our last inspection, the kitchen retained it&s &5& Star rating. We understand that no-one wants to be in a nursing home, and it is with this in mind that we do our best to effect the transition into this unknown environment in an uncomplicated and relaxed manner. |

My very independent Mother is 90 years of age and recently was hardly eating, losing weight, dehydrated and telling me she could not cope, I was very concerned; I wanted the best for Mum and needed help and advice quickly.Luckily for us, someone recommended Highcroft Nursing Home, the manager really put themself out for Mum and agreed to provide Mum with a room the next day, after a couple of weeks, the change in Mum was fantastic, she is eating, sleeping well and talking again, gaining a bit of weight and is happy and contented and has made new friends, she told me she wants to stay and considers it her home now.She enjoys the various activities provided and has started knitting again. The standard of care is outstanding, the staff friendly and kind, the whole house is clean and fresh, beautifully decorated and furnished and the home cooked food is delicious. When I walked into Highcroft that first day I knew from first impressions that I could relax in my mind knowing Mum would receive the best of care and attention.I can highly recommend this home. |
