Katherine House is a purpose-built residential home designed to maximise views, natural light and a sense of well-being for each resident.
Fully qualified and experienced staff provide ‘24-hour’ round-the-clock care as well as respite care for those with low-level needs. The residents& individual needs are constantly monitored and their care is reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
The design of the home ensures all areas are easy to navigate and are relaxing places for the residents. The home offers spacious en-suite bedrooms equipped with an electric bed, flat-screen television, telephone and comfortable, modern furniture. Residents are also encouraged to personalise their rooms to create a ‘homely’ environment.
There are opportunities for residents to stimulate interests and participate in activities which includes in-house entertainment as well as local trips into the community.

Apr 1 2015 It's a shame that all care home are not like Katherine House. The level of care here is extremely good and the atmosphere is very upbeat. Families can be sure that their relatives are very well looked after.

She settled well with continued support from her Team Leader and the Health care support workers. Her room is excellent and has been adapted to take some of her own furniture and belongings. The ensuite shower/wet room is well equipped with hand rails and she is able to use it with ease. There is also a large assisted bathroom with a hoist. She has a telephone line to her room and there is a TV supplied. Other facilities include a library with books,DVDs and videos to watch in either of the lounge rooms. There are daily activities to encourage group activity, quizzes,craft and dance. Podiatrists and hairdressers visit weekly. Main meals are served in a well presented dining room but can be served in her room if required. My family are always made welcome when visiting and staff are always available to discuss anything. We feel that Mum is very safe at Katherine house and the staff love her as if she were their Mum. She is very happy and although she goes out on visits she is always happy to return. The grounds are lovely with a beautiful Victorian green house. Residents also contribute to growing things in raised beds on the veranda. All in all we are very happy with Katherine house.
