Opened in 2009, Manor Lodge is a very modern and attractive purpose-designed care home set just a short walk away from Chelmsford town centre in Essex.&
We provide personalised nursing, residential, respite and day care for older people, and we have specialist expertise in supporting individuals with Alzheimer&s and other forms of dementia.
Our friendly and experienced team get to know each resident really well, so that we can provide care that is as individual as they are. We involve residents at every stage of the care planning journey – we find out how they want to be cared for and design a programme around their wishes. We also spend a lot of time getting to know residents& families, listening to their opinions and offering support when it&s needed.

Sep 23 2016 My Mother-in-law has been in Manor Lodge for almost a year now (Since November 2015). The staff and management are excellent, they are all very caring, friendly and efficient. There are daily activities for the residents. There is good interaction between staff (including management) and residents and good supervision. The rooms are kept very clean and tidy and the laundry is done daily. The communal lounges, dining rooms areas are regularly decorated and kept spotlessly clean. My wife and I looked around many care homes when selecting one for her, Manor Lodge was the best and continues to confirm our choice after almost a year's residence.

Jan 20 2016 When my wife's father was a resident in Manor Lodge, my wife's and my impression of the place was very different. We had serious concerns about his treatment and, when we raised them, felt that the care home became very defensive and was reluctant to address them. We cannot be more specific because we know that it would lead to this review being rejected but we would certainly not recommend this care home to anyone else. David

May 1 2014 My Mother has had bad experiences in two previous homes one of which is mentioned here. Hatfield Peverel Lodge. The other being The Old Deanery Care Village exposed last night (30th April 2014) I cannot praise Manor Lodge highly enough. Nowhere/nothing is perfect in life but this place comes close.
