Maurice House

My stepfather was admitted to Maurice House just after Christmas.From the moment we entered the place it just had a lovely home from home feeling.We had looked at several other nursing homes but this has knocked spots of all the others.From the office staff,to all the nursing staff,they are all so lovely and friendly.My stepfather is very well looked after by everyone.In fact because the food is so good and plentiful he has put on over a stone in weight,which he had lostt when he was ill.They have plenty of activities going on everyday of the week,including trips out,musical concerts,bingo,bowls,and the bar opens at 11.00 every day if they fancy a drink.They are encouraged to take part in the activities .The staff have a great rapport with all the residents and family members and nothing is to much for them.If i had to go into care I wouldnt hesitate in going in here.

Mum has been in MH for 6 weeks..she has improved so much..now feeding herself and interacting with every one around her..well looked after and the staff are fantastic.. Enjoys games and going on trips.. Family can rest easy knowing she is so well looked after even tho still mentions going back to her own home..this being the norm!! Couldn't ask for more..so at 93...she is very fortunate..as we are to still have her..ty..MH..
