Saltwood Care Centre provides high quality residential & nursing care in a warm, friendly and welcoming environment.
Located on Tanners Hill in Hythe, Kent – the home is a short walk from Hythe High Street and Saltwood Village.
Originally built over 100 years ago as a convalescent home for London Transport staff, the building has been much improved and extended to now provides 66 single bedrooms, most of which have en-suite facilities. The magnificent building sits in landscaped gardens, with a beautiful terrace and stunning sea views.

Aug 9 2019 I have found that the residents and their needs were always treated as individuals. Lots of the carers went above and beyond with their care. The food was amazing and the manager was readily available to talk to you knowing exactly what your relative had been doing and saying which reassured me about their care. Her endless enthusiasm and energy about improving the lives of those in her care home was great. Activities and stimulation was encouraged. I have always been made to feel welcome and part of a big happy family. The care and support at the end was very good.

The staff put in excellent time and effort to understand and help my father, and they really brought out the best in him. I cant thank them enough!

Jul 5 2019 My mother was so well looked after at Saltwood care home at the end of her life. She was happy, loved the food, and all the staff who were so kind, especially the men!
