Care Home Information |
Bearwardcote Hall is a privately owned and run family business which has been providing tailored, personal care for over 26 years in a loving home envoironment. Bearwardcote Hall was previously the private residence of the Thompson family who in 1987 decided that the property was too large for a family of 4 but couldnt bear to part with such a beautiful building. The preferred solution was to open Bearwardcote to a wider family in the form of Bearwardcote Hall Residential Home, with a view to providing the very best care in a close family home envoironment.& |

I came across Bearwardcote Hall after looking at several other homes in the area and knew this was where my Mum would be happy. It wasn't the most modern or the best decorated but it had something more important than that, it had a heart. Everyone I spoke to was so kind and caring and the room they offered her was lovely with a beautiful view across the countryside, en suite bathroom, television, telephone point and everything else she needed. My Mum had always dreaded ending up in a home, but she was truly happy there. She loved her room, she loved the food but most of all she loved the staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she always felt safe as she knew someone would be there if she needed them. Thank you to you all for your loving care. |

My mum has been living at Bearwardcote Hall for some time now and she is well cared for. When she first arrived she wasn't feeding herself properly and was in a generally confused and anxious state. She soon became much happier thanks to the care that she received. As for the food, I have eaten lunch at Bearwardcote Hall myself a couple of times and can vouch for its quality, choice, and quantity. The staff are delightful and go out of their way to be helpful - and I visit quite often, so this isn't a one-off experience. It is such a relief to see my mum looking happy and relaxed once more, so I would have no hesitation in recommending Bearwardcote Hall. |

I recently visited there in regards to seeing one of my relatives who lives in the care home. First impression as i walked in the door wasn't very good, walls were dirty, carpets were full of stains an the general look of the care home just looked run down. I was then greeting by the receptionist who was not very helpful as i asked to see my relative an they mentioned that i would have to wait because she was busy with the care worker. After a brief spell of being there i saw the food which was also on display for service, to be honest i wouldn't feed it to my dog! After seeing numerous unpleasant things around the care home i wanted to speak to the management to see their point of views, an again to be honest i could of had a better chat with my 3 year old daughter. The management were totally rude, was in disbelief and did not accept any feedback which i was given them. They also raised their voice on numerous times an was fairly intimidating. Overall its safe to say i will be taking my relative out of the care home an placing her in a new one, a one which is ran properly! |
