On first impressions when showed around it seems a lovely well kept place with caring staff and we were happy that we had found some where we believed to be a lovely home. This could not be further from the truth. Since being there they had deteriorated dramatically and were unrecognisable. Even the basic care needs not carried out correctly by staff and only a few seem to care , several had a bad attitude. Our experience is not only shared by ourselves but many families within the home. The glossy brochure and well decorated home is not a true reflection and I would never recommend this home to anyone you care about. It fails at every aspect. CQC inspection of good in 2016 ,it is not. |

My wife has been a resident for 15 months and has advanced dementia. She can no longer talk and spends all her waking hours walking up and down the corridors.
Greenslades have about 30 dementure patients, in two wards of 15 with a qualified nurse in charge of each, 24/7.
From the manager down, all the staff are cheerful and unbeleivingly caring, nothing is too much trouble for them and they look after all the residents, whatever their problems, with the same care and compassion and are very helpful towards me and other relitives.
The food is all prepared in the kitchens, is of first class quality, always varied, several options are always available and if wanted, residents can have 3 hot meals a day.
The home is so clean that it sparkeles and as visiting is anytime of the day or night, this is done as a matter of course and not to impress family and friends, like some homes I visited.
I do not beleive that Barbara could be better looked after anywhere else. |
