Rosedale

3 year ago I moved my father from the care home that had been recommended by social services. I found over the next few months that this home did not cater for the needs of a fairly fit man with slight senile dementia and problems with his hearing and sight. He became withdrawn and unhappy although I was being told by the home and social services that he would settle down. Since moving my father to Rosedale 3 years ago he is settled and happy and does not get agitated and frustrated as he did in the previous home. He finds the staff friendly and caring and cannot speak highly enough of them. I find that the home is light, spotlessly clean and smells fresh and the food is excellent. My father had some dietary needs recently and his meals were altered to give him what he needed. The home is kept at a warm temperature for the guests, they do daily activities and they have some outside entertainers to have a sing song etc. I find that the staff treat my dad as an individual and they are very kind. I take him for short walks every day but if I cant make it one of the carers will take him. I find that staff easy to talk to and discuss things regarding my father care. They respond if I have any concerns and they let me know straight away if they have any concerns about him. I am so pleased that my dad is at Rosedale as I feel confident in the staff and know that they like and respect my dad and are fond of him. He is 97 now and hopefully has many more years living at Rosedale.
