Throughout the six years that I have known Crown House, it has never failed to deliver the best possible care. Two of my in-laws lived there happily for four years and my own parent currently is happily settled there.
Crown House is a care home in every sense of the word - safe, secure, caring, and homely. The staff are marvellous. Wearing crisp white uniforms they are all always cheerful and interact well with residents, enabling residents to maintain dignity and privacy. The staff do everything humanly possible to smooth the transition of a much-loved relative into residential care. Nothing seems too much trouble. I believe that for the Crown House staff, caring is their vocation not their job.
The food is delicious, nutritious, plentiful, and well-presented with a good choice. Hot and cold beverages flow - even for visitors.
The environment is clean, warm, friendly and buzzes. The tasteful soft furnishings add to the homeliness.
There are activities to suit all tastes. My relation enjoys the afternoon music and singing sessions and the evening Scrabble Club. My in-law enjoyed the floral demonstrations and the Keep Fit classes.
Residents have frequent and regular access to medics, including an in-house physiotherapist. Medication is administered efficiently.
Crown House has put the fun back into my relatiion's life; after every visit I leave with uplifted spirits and I cannot thank all concerned enough. |
