Acacia Court is fortunate to have long serving staff with minimal change of staff over time. We have achieved Investors in People Gold which is the highest accolade possible under the scheme.
We have a regular and ongoing training programme to ensure that our staff at all levels are appropriately trained in caring for older people. We also recruit people who care and want to work in this environment. Our training includes awareness of safeguarding issues, dignity and privacy, NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care, Medication handing, Safe moving of individuals as well as many other courses specific to the needs of our residents and staff group.
We all wear name badges so that you can be clear who you are talking to. We also are easily identifiable by our uniforms. Our care centre manager is experienced and friendly and would be delighted to talk to you more about how new staff are inducted into Acacia Court and how we ensure that our staff are well trained and continue to do a good job.
