I am a private carer who continues to visit one of the residents in Featherton House regularly - at least weekly since April 2013 - achieving small things for her - making sure she has her sweets etc. The home is managed well. It is homely and friendly. Clean and always smells nice. I am always welcomed by all staff. Privacy and Dignity is always promoted - the carers are always nice and friendly - meals are good - varied and the resident I visit who requires special meals is catered for well. The resident I visit is profoundly deaf and only partially sighted - these things are taken into consideration at all times when she is communicated with by the Manager and Staff. I have witnessed a varied range of activities on offer for the residents to choose from. I have recommended Featherton House to other people and will continue to do so.

I cannot praise all the staff at Featherton house highly enough. The quality of care, compassion and tolerance given to my mother by each member of staff is outstanding. Entering Featherton House is as though one is entering a private home, fresh flowers, delicious smells from the kitchen and very smiley staff! I have previously had to research other residential homes for my mother-in-law and my two aunts, I have never had the fortune to find a home of the quality of Featherton House, it is a gem.

My mother has lived in Featherton House for 2 years approximately and has been wonderfully well looked after from Day One. She has had limited sight for many years, increasing deafness and the staff have coped well with the frustrations of old age. The food (choice every day) is home cooked, visitors (including the family dog) are welcomed, there's a happy family-type atmosphere and a feeling of fun. As the home is in the centre of Deddington there are concerts, shops, pubs and restaurants to go to which is preferable to being surrounded by parkland/ gardens for those who cannot see well.
