In the heart of Rutland, our home is easily accessible from Oakham, Stamford, Oundle, Corby and surrounding villages.
Surrounded by 14 acres of beautiful countryside Tixover House is an integral part of an interactive rural community amid well maintained gardens and breathtaking views. Indeed a favourite spot to enjoy afternoon tea and a relaxing conversation is the little summer house which looks out across the fields.
Our residents are cared for by friendly, experienced and well-trained nurses and care staff who encourage & support residents to maintain their own interests and hobbies. Our team really focus on the individual, encouraging personal choices to better their lifestyle within the home and tailoring their needs both physically and emotionally.
Our full time activities co-ordinator, Elaine, is very committed to ensuring that all of our residents continue as full and active lifestyle as possible through a varied and stimulating raft of ways to enjoy the days (and evenings). From gardening to music, outings to places of interest or just a cup of tea & a chat. Theres something for everyone.
We have a strong sense of community within our home, providing assistance and support for residential requirements as well as care for those with nursing needs including dementia and Alzheimers.

Jul 2 2016 Only visited but as soon as we walked in the door we had a women shouting and swearing and another one walking around doing inappropriate things in the corridor also had a gentlemen get very angry when we tried to get out the door to leave ! Staff were no where to be seen and once seen just looked like they didn't want to be there , the room we visited did not have a shower only toilet and sink . Would not recommend to put my mother who is in need of care because of all this and of course the price the only good was the location is beautiful but really out of the way
