When Q A Hospital gave my Mum who was suffering from Alzhiemers about 3 weeks to live, saying she needed nursing care, I tried with the help of a social worker to find a lovely place for her to live out her last days.
I had heard about Harry Sotnick House being a new purpose built care home, so paid them a visit. With the help of the social worker my Mum was soon transferred there. She soon settled into life there and had many happy times. They remember her as quite a character. The 3 weeks turned into over two years, she passed away aged 90.
On seeking a place for my Mum in Law we did not hesitate. Although she has many health issues [along with Alzhiemers] so may spend some time in bed, she has had many happy occasions there, one being last Friday Disney Day. Most of the staff dressed up and brought a smile to many faces. |
