Abbeyfield Bognor Regis care home offers an outstanding level of care delivered by trained carers under the leadership of a very experienced manager. All the rooms have en-suite toilet and sink, some have full bath/shower room and there are also 2 well equipped aided bathrooms. Respite care is also available as required from as little as 1 night to as much as several months, they are able to be flexible. Respite may be required to give families caring at home a break, or for somebody who needs to recuperate after a stay in hospital, or just as a holiday, it can also be used as a trial for a more permanent stay.

In the same building there are also 9 sheltered rooms for people who still have mobility and are able to care for themselves. Residents have the peace of mind of having somebody on site on call for emergencies at all times. All these rooms have full bathroom en-suite.

For all residents the kitchen staff prepare home cooked meals which are eaten in the communal dining rooms where residents meet together and share companionship.

My mother Betty died in Oct 2011 at the age of 100. She spent the last 14 years of her life at Abbeyfield, Bognor. For the first 12 of those years she lived relatively independently in a bed-sitter type room , with her meals provided by the care home. When she became frail at the age of 98 she moved into more sheltered accommodation where she received 24 hour assistance. Throughout her stay at Abbeyfield, the standard of her care was outstanding. She was looked after by a dedicated team who were friendly and supportive, and she always spoke highly of her carers and seemed happy. She had lived in Bognor all her life and chose to move into Abbeyfield on the recommendation of others who had been there before her. My sister, wife and I would strongly recommend Abbeyfield to anyone who is considering moving into a care home in the Bognor area, or who is investigating a move for a relative or friend. As a non profit making organisation we found that the fees were very reasonable compared to other homes that we considered.
