The staff were always understanding and helpful with our requests. Nothing appeared to much trouble. I note in other reviews that the food is poor ? I cannot comment on this as I never ate here and my mother was on a purified diet. The Care Home was always clean and tidy. The facilities were excellent and offered alternative places to sit other than bedrooms. For those reading this review you are possibly in the same situation as I was, which is how best do I look after my mum/dad ? Look no further. |

The majority of the staff working here (1st floor) are lovely & very caring/helpful however the management lacked organisation & was very evasive, unfriendly & not interpersonal at all. I felt pushed/rushed out by the manager when a space became available for me at another facility - seemed they were more concerned with hitting targets. The state of cleaniness/hygiene was extremely poor (I.e. Dirty dishes). I'm a vegetarian & my diet was not catered to at all despite many requests to management for a nutritional meal as opposed to sandwiches or a potatoe based hot meal everyday. Physio staff, o/t & nurses were great however it was a shame that Physio was not always available (not their fault, just very poorly staffed). Overall would not recommend this place for rehabilitation as nutrition, regular Physio & sleep are essential in making a speedy recovery. Also, I must add that all my guests always complained about the overwhelming stench when entering the 1st floor. |
