Portcullis House has a dedicated, purpose-built dementia unit, Rose Garden, for residents experiencing the symptoms of dementia illnesses. The unit has its own staff group, to ensure consistency and familiarity for residents.

Jul 9 2014 Well now, here is one of the best care homes, if not the best care home for your loved ones. The team here at Port Cullis - Rose Garden dementia unit have a superb rapport with the residents. They provided and treated my mother Hetty with the utmost respect, love and dignity anyone could ever ask for... She was cared for up until the last minutes of her life... even on her passing they gave us time and privacy we needed to say goodbye to her. I will and have recommended Port Cullis in Langport to my friends. They know my story about Hetty and how demanding she can be, how wonderful the staff have coped, how passionate they are about taking care of the residents. They have my utmost respect for doing what they do. The staff have patients, professionalism and wonderful humour. Always happy, alert and very caring attitudes.... you get a wonderful sense of calmness when you walk through the door. The atmosphere is homely. Visit them and see for yourself. Staff members came in to her room to speak to her like they would their own mum... Communication was fantastic from the office. Everything PC put into place for Hetty was told to us. Good planning made the last 4.3 years of her life wonderful... One big happy family! Brilliant, brilliant Care Home.
