Situated in the Ditton area of Widnes, Ferndale Court Care Home is a purpose built 57 bedded care home offering Nursing and Residential care.
Meet the team
At Ferndale Court Care Home we are very proud of our homely atmosphere. Our experienced Home Manager and members of staff are focused on ensuring kindness is at the heart of everything we do.
We understand that meals are a very important part of our Residents’ day, our menus cover a variety of choices for each meal and a choice of snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are also available 24 hours a day.
Family and friends join Residents for meals which are served in one of our dining rooms or, if our Residents wish, they can choose to eat in the privacy of their own rooms.
Hobbies and interests
Our Activities Co-ordinator spends time with Residents to ensure popular pastimes are included within the weekly activities calendar which is displayed in the home, this includes:
• Baking
• Quizzes
• Gardening
Many of our Residents find the one-on-one time with our members of staff particularly enjoyable.
Outdoor areas
Our attractive garden is a popular place to sit and enjoy the pleasant surroundings, particularly in the summer months.

Apr 6 2023 My elderly uncle was very well looked after at Ferndale court. I could not fault any member of staff, they treated my uncle and family with the utmost respect. All members of the team are warm welcoming and hard working. I would have no problem recommending this care home.

Nov 29 2022 I have been to visit my family member left in bed totally dehydrated mouth wide open with in an hour drank a pint off fluids. The smell was disgusting asking us to wear a mask no wonder to block the smell. Carpet had food crushed in looks like it's been there a while it was heart breaking to leave my family member here .staff only told what to do nice enough. This place needs some regular checks ccq need to investigate this matter as I will be reporting this issue

Mar 28 2018 My very frail mother was put into this place, Although the staff seemed polite, the conditions where very disappointing to say the least .Carpet thread bare in places , walls marked , bedding not changed when needed . Calls for attention , very slow to respond if at all. The place had a most dreadful smell in fact it stayed with us for well over an hour and we had to use perfume to get rid of it. Paperwork was never kept up to date, in fact was incorrect even when I asked for it to be corrected on many occasions . The staff are very ill informed and are far too busy to pay too much attention to anything you have to say to them . they need far more staff plus the place could do with upgrading and a supervisor that knows what they are doing . I would be devastated if I ended up in a place anything like this.
