Mum's been in here for years now and has become part of the furniture! At almost 84 she's more on the ball than us, on account of the cook's home cooking and copious cups of tea. She enjoys lively banter with all the staff, especially the manager, who also seems to be the in-house court jester! They had owls in to visit yesterday and mum loved them and is looking forward to their return for the annual August garden party! Vine House is a cosy home from home and we're always sad to leave. |

My Mother moved to Vine House just over 2 years ago and she has received excellent care and support throughout that time. The staff are kind and warm and nothing is ever too much trouble. They are efficient and organised and have time to spend with the residents as and when they need a bit of extra love and attention.
During the past 2 years Vine House has had a lot of alterations to improve the service they offer. The House and Gardens are being upgraded all the time and the residents have a very nice home to live in. The fact that it's a small unit means there is a lot of personal contact with familiar faces which I feel is very important for the residents. The staff become friends as well as staff with both the residents and the family. I am always made very welcome with a cup of tea at whatever time I arrive after a long journey. I have never arrived to find my Mother anything other then clean, fed and comfortable which means a lot to me as I cannot visit every day.
I highly recommend Vine House and living 3 hours away I am confident that when I am not there my Mother is looked after safely.
I know that my Mother will see her days out at Vine House and they will cope with whatever issues arise during that time. |
