When my dad first moved into Lakeview ha had been living alone for almost 12 months and was at a very low point in his life. He is young to have late stage dementia (75) and to be honest he looked awful. He was drawn, gaunt and tired.
His first week there was a little worrying but the staff there made him feel at home and began to bring him out of his shell. All dad needed was some company and there he has it by the bucket load.
Now 3 months on, he looks well, has put on weight, has made friends and is enjoying life (i think he even has a lady friend!!). the staff are friendly, helpful and always make you welcome no matter what time of the day i go to see him.
A big thank to the staff for making this happen. |
