thank you for the service you provide. I agree it is not always easy to get an appointment - but that everywhere in the NHS.
If you need an appointment for something urgent you are seen on the same day and treated well by the nurse or Doctor you see. Thank you Reply from The Maples Health Centre Mon, 30 Sep 2019 10:19:25 +0100 Many thanks for your positive feedback. We are looking at our appointment availability as part of our forthcoming merger, and hope that we will be able to improve our accessibility once this has taken place. We are working on the above with both of our patient participation groups. There is more information on joining this group on our website www.themapleshealthcentre.co.uk/navigator/patient-reference-group-registration/ |

I had to cancel my original appointment with the doctor over the phone; which i did in good time only to be told that i would have to call back in the morning to re-book a new appointment. I cannot understand why you cannot book / reschedule a new appointment at the same time??
Worst still the earliest appointment i could get was 2 weeks later.... this is why so many people attend the accident and emergence centres. |

I needed an appointment for my 2 week old son because he has conjunctivitis and was prescribed with antibiotics but it wasn't clearing up. The nurse phoned me straight back and asked me to come into the surgery to swab my sons eye so the courier could pick the sample up this afternoon. While I was there the nurse noticed that I was very pale so she gave me an appointment for her to take my blood. I felt that the nurse was very very helpful and went over and beyond for me and I really appreciated it. |
