On Sunday 4th August I noticed something peculiar in my left eye. Since it hadn't cleared by Wednesday I phoned the practice at 2 o'clock to arrange a telephone consult. The receptionist spoke to a doctor, a slot was found and I was asked to come straight down.
I told my story to the doctor who told me to go straight to Moorfields walk-in clinic. By 7 o'clock I had been told by a specialist my problem was very common and no great issue - a "floater". Much relieved I went home.
Please express my thanks to the receptionist whose name I'm afraid I don't know and to the doctor whose prompt action saved many hours of anxiety.
I'm not a great fan normally but this was an example of the NHS at its absolute best. | ||||||

I would like to commend the service I receive from Millway as I get older and more in need of medical assistance. I have to admit that I never know which Doctor I should approach but nevertheless I still get help and advice when needed. My Doctor has been especially attentive as she regularly monitors my regular blood tests. I have also been called in for what I would call an MOT which reviews all my prescriptions to see if they are needed and efficacious.
I do know that getting an appointment is sometimes problematic but I understand the pressures that such a large list creates. I would like to convey my thanks and appreciation. | ||||||

This surgery was once excellent. The doctors were attentive and the reception staff was discrete and friendly. My mother is a lady who suffers from very painful conditions, today she was humiliated and treated like a second class citizen. Upon asking for an appointment to see the doctor, this receptionist said no you can go to boots for that problem. She then went on to assess my mother's very delicate medical conditions by referring her to the opticians and boots. My mother then enquired about a referral she was waiting for. This receptionist who thought she was also a doctor, proceeded to print off my mother's records. And my mother said that wasn't what she wanted and the lady ripped it up in front of her face. How is this okay? Who are these people to judge whether you are eligible to see a doctor, SPECIFICALLY when it's because of a delicate medical condition? Awful. I will be escalating this further as my mother, and others do not deserve to be treated like human rubbish. | ||||||
