It seems there is a gap between how receptionists organise themselves and the rest of the team! If you call them, you will find receptionists rude for sake of it, less than knowledgeable, less than interested, shouty and always ready to hang up when they cannot answer questions or if you point to their numerous failures which seems to be their strategy to make patients avoid calling them. Their office manager seems to blindly back their staff which explains all the negative reviews of reception through the years and why the culture has not been changed? However the level of care from GP and the nurses is very satisfactory which makes you feel sorry that their good work is spoilt by their front staff. |

I have always received outstanding medical care at this practice - including throughout the lockdown - and feel very grateful to be a patient of HPS. The medical staff are attentive, thorough, really reliable and committed. I have huge trust for them and always feel impressed by their dedication. My experience of the receptionists is a little more variable - however I am not easily daunted and it has not created any significant problems for me, although it can sometimes be a slightly tricky or testing experience to interact with them. Today though was very different. The receptionist answering the phone was calmly efficient, articulate, courteous and friendly. It was a delight to have had her assistance and I came off the call stunned by her easy and charming professionalism. Thank you! |

After getting off the phone with the GP I felt like I'd been bullied by one very emotionally abusive GP. The way she spoke to me was so appalling, cruel, and unnecessary. It was so unbearable that I literally broke down in tears after eventually escaping the call. It was so shocking to me, and the worst way I'd been spoken to by any GP in absolutely years. completely distressed broken. |
