I called for an important appointment so I could get a referral. I originally had to to over 24hrs to get phone appointment. My appointment was for a blood test that I had to wait 3 days for. When I arrived I was given a blood pressure check and told I had to book a blood test and come back as the doctor had made a mistake and all nurses were busy.
When I complained I heard a man (dr) telling the receptionist ‘he has to come back’ then when I challenged him he spoke to me without even looking at me. His behaviour was completely disrespectful after his staff had made the error.
This is a familiar process at this practice. |

I have had several issues with this GP practice and I have only been a patient here for 6 months. Firstly, I had to chase a request for a specialist appointment as they said they never received it and on my third visit to this GP with a print out of the request, they managed to locate it only to send it to the wrong specialist. This whole process took about two and a half weeks. Secondly, I had an emergency and went to a walk in where the doctor I saw at the walk in called my GP surgery to try and get me an emergency appointment in which The Good Practice said that they could not help, they had no appointments and don’t offer emergency appointments. They said that if it was serious enough then I should go to A&E. The doctor I was with at the walk in clinic was very shocked at their lack of ability to help in any way. Finally, I got turned away from an appointment as I was 7 minutes late and they said they only give a grace period of 5 minutes. I had waited 5 days for that appointment and had taken time off work to make it. The waiting room was completely empty and I was clearly very distressed. Overall, my experience of this practice has been appalling and their lack of interest for patient care is something I have never experienced before. The staff are unorganised and I have found the doctors very hard to speak to and quite dismissive of any worries I may have. The practice’s only saving grace is that the administration staff are polite. I will never be using this practice again and urge others to try and find an alternative GP practice. |

The Good Practice continues to be excellent in my experience. The reception staff are very helpful and I always get my online requests on time. I have not needed to see a GP recently but when I did last year I booked my appointment online without any issues. ( not same day ) Overall this practice continues to prove very efficient. |
