Using the emergency service which is from 8 to 8.30 Monday to Friday is distressing. I have tried several times to get a telephone appointment this week within this period and failed. I finally got through to reception on Monday 18th October after failing to get through the emergency half hour. I was politely, asked to call tomorrow and offered a telephone appointment on 1st. November? Back to bed with my congested chest waiting to repeat the process tomorrow morning between 8 and 8.30am. Wish me luck I will need it. So sad. |

Because the Family Practce is closed because of covid I try to arrange an appointment to see my GP personally because they are seeing people personally when required. At the time I asked for my appointment but was refused even when I say all about my conditions. The result was that I went to hospital in an emergency and stayed 9 days there. If people have training, they should continue to have it because they put lives at risk whiteout need. |

I needed to register with a surgery to be seen soon and referred for a suspicious lump to be biopsied. The first surgery I approached said it would take 2 weeks to transfer my details into system. I rang the family practice and managed to speak to a receptionist pretty quick unlike most of other practices and been told I can be registered straightaway and booked to see a Gp within a week. Very pleasant and efficient front face for an anxious patient is the first impressive thing and I am hoping to continue having good experience. So far marvelous! |
