My household have been patients at the practice since 1979 and it was always excellent until the last 4 years. I find things have slipped to a very low ebb. It takes at least three weeks to get an appointment and the last time I asked to see a doctor there I was seen by a young doctor who asked me what antibiotics I would like, it likened me to being a child in a sweet shop. I have since learned that I have been moved from my regular GP to a GP I don’t know without my knowledge or consent. Having been through two breast cancer ops and treatment in the past year nobody from the Practice bothered to contact me or find out how I am doing. I am totally disillusioned with the Practice and how it is being run. It needs some serious reorganisation. |

I should like to praise the reception staff at the surgery. They always listen carefully and take you seriously and then they try and do their best to solve your problem. On a recent surgery visit, I was shocked to hear a couple of people make demands of them. One of them said 'I left my heart monitor on the bus, I need another one.' No please, no thankyou, no apology. We hear so much these days about rude receptionists. The team at this surgery deserve a medal for hiding their feelings and concentrating on the patient's questions. I am sure I am not the only person who thinks this. |
