Where do I start? I've been with this surgery for over 30 years now. The service provided to the community has become disgraceful. I explained that I had a fear, that I may have breast cancer in my chest. I explained that I didn't want a callback appointment because I had been given two in the past about the same complaint and I didn't receive any calls. The reception staff defended the surgery and continued to tell about the protocol. I explained my frustration and concern only to have the phone put down I me. I'm so glad I record the conversation because I wasn't rude at all or aggressive, I was just concerned that I had contacted the surgery on two occasions regarding the same complaint and got nowhere. I went straight to the Well St Surgery on the same day as having the phone put down on me and spoke to the surgery manager (Karen) and explained my frustration and disgust that a member of staff would be so cruel as to put the phone down on someone expressing such a concern. I was told this matter would be looked into and I would hear back after an investigation was completed. All calls are recorded and I'm glad they are, I also record all calls myself and showed Karen my recording so I'm very keen to learn what the outcome of this investigation will be. I will update this post once Karen has called me back. I have been given an appointment to see a breast specialist now after a painful experience that I hope no one will have to go through again. The surgery is now under new management and I hope that the Surgery returns to the service we all remember. |
