I have been using this surgery for 36 years, and never had a problem.
I have quite a few medical problems, so I am a frequent visitor to both my gp and the nurses.
I always see my gp. If she is on leave, I am offered the choice of a locum appointment or to wait a few days or maybe a week. But I can always get an appointment, even on the same day, if needed.
2 years ago, my excellent gp retired. Her replacement is equally as good. No problem in referring me, speaking to me on telephone if necessary, even prescribing over the phone and sending prescription directly to the chemist for me.
I cannot fault the surgery or the staff (except one rude receptionist) at all, and would recommend it to anyone living local. |

Staff on front desk need to be trained how to provide care with dignity and keeping confidentiality in mind. All staff seem to be extremely loud in a quiet surgery, asking DOB and to confirm address amongst other personal details with other patients around. I was asked to confirm my contact number today, I mentioned it was the same it has always been and never changed, in response I was told by the rude member of staff seeing to me to not give attitude. It seemed the staff member was giving me attitude themselves. I’ve been coming to this surgery for the last 32 years, staff on front desk have always been quite loud, but now it seems to be going in a different direction with staff being extremely rude. |

Avoid this old school practice the drs don't really listen and talk over you instead of hearing what youre saying. Don't mistake confidence for accurate information and good communication. |
