Rude and unhelpful receptionist. The appointment system is problematic compromising patient care and dignity. You have to call specific times, wait in the queue only to be told to call another day or that the GP will call you at a time that is convenient to them. If you miss the call or you are at work etc and can’t talk about sensitive health issues it’s your problem and you have to call them again to go via the same process again. If you are lucky and receive the call from doctor then you may finally receive the appointment you need. Unnecessary delay for treatment and frustration. Definitely not patient centered approach. |

The Lawson practice is not at its best and has never been. I was registered there in 2004 for 3 years, then I moved out from Hackney Borough. The Lawson Practice was not very good then and is not very good now. My friend is still registered at this surgery. However, the GP practice in West London where I moved to at that time, was also not good. Staff in general do only as little as possible. This seems to be a “phenomenon” all over in this country, also in other sectors. The “Don’t-care-attitude” plays also into it. By the look of it - there are only a few good GP surgeries in this country. |
