I’m generally pretty happy with the surgery but thought I would just give a little feedback. I recently requested a repeat prescription through the EMIS service but noticed one of my medications was showing the old dosage, (this having been amended up a couple of weeks previously by the consultant). Not wishing to run out I contacted the surgery and it turned out the hospital had only just provided the update. No problems here as the need wasn’t pressing at the time and the surgery undertook to sort this out. So, a few days later, I turn up at the pharmacy to collect my prescription to discover that, whilst my updated medicine is there waiting for me, the surgery have apparently taken it upon themselves to cancel the entirety of my previous request, which included my asthma meds. Whilst the updated medication is desirable the asthma meds are absolutely necessary and I might have supposed someone might have had the basic common sense to include it on the revised script. On a a practical note I now have had to make another request, and will need to make another journey to the pharmacy and, hopefully, there will be sufficient time for this to all occur before I run out of medicine. |

I visited the surgery following what I thought was extreme hay fever like I had never had before
I saw a doctor who was very thorough
She treated me there and then and then advised me to go to A&E for further treatment
When I went there I was seen instantly
They said the Dr was right to refer me as they said I had had an allergic reaction to something and needied steroids and nebulising
I thought the Dr was being OTT but if I hadn’t of gone I could of no better off |
