Morden Hill Surgery

This surgery has fast declined post COVID. In particular the reception staff have little to no empathy. They dispense what they can’t do with cold efficiency and leave you feeling you are simply a problem to solve yourself. There is no warmth or care given by these gatekeepers and the questions they ask are downright insulting. The receptionists I have spoken to will nonchalantly tell you there are no face to face or telephone appointments and for you to call between 8am and 9am knowing fully that it’s a game of roulette as to whether you will get an appointment or not. I recommend a full review of the reception team and recommend training exercises in people care, empathy and simple good common sense. We are patients who are unwell, worried and all we need is a little human kindness when we call this surgery and not to feel like an inconvenience to your receptionists.

I have stage 2 COPD and got told to get it in bulk via the practice nurse who was excellent. I'm now having to go through Dr Guttery for my meds. This woman has not seen me though the entire lockdown. Dr Kavielier has been excellent, she saw me face to face sent me to Lewisham Hospital and did everything that I expect a Dr to do. I have to have a medical review? Surely as a COPD patient I need these meds without a review?

I was in a flare up as I have cervical spondylitis and myelopathy on the 29/01/2024 I call the surgery and and got a call from a doctor I ask for a medication as it help me during g the pain and he flatly refused to give the meds my pain was 10/10 and said he cant give me the meds as it has to come from the pain clinic, only to realize thats not true ... I told him my previous doctor gave me as they know my condition. he flatly refuse. He was very dismissive no empathy.. I hope I never see him again.
