I have always received great reception service and excellent care from all the doctors/ nurses I have encountered during my many years with being with the surgery. I have found the care very good and consistent, each doctor taking clear and concise note and ensuring that my care plan was correct and followed until the end of the treatment. I believe that this is a achieved with the help of the reception team who have ensured all my referrals and required letter have been sent on time, who have chased, made phone calls and personally called to make sure that I don’t miss any appointments, while all remaining calm and professional even when I have not. One receptionist is cornerstone of the front of house reception team with her wealth of knowledge and calming persona, which helps new team members to achieve and maintain a good working standard. |

It is very sad to read some of the comments on here and see the low star ratings because my experience has always been positive. I am very much aware that getting an appointment has become a problem but I also know that recruiting GPs is also very difficult. I also think, from scenes I have witnessed, that the general public do not always help themselves. Charm gets one much further than aggression and turning up on time would be helpful. This practice has an efficient online service which is especially useful for ordering repeat medication both for myself and for my husband who is not tech savvy. I use it a lot for looking up test results and letters from hospital Consultants. Not everyone will understand results or even want to know, but I do!! I even had the local hospital contact them for a letter from my Cardiologist. They had it, the hospital records did not after 30 minutes of searching. It was sent in seconds thus preventing my procedure being postponed. The GPs are very good about telephone consultations if the circumstances are suitable which I appreciate. The staff on the desk are helpful and curteous. I think anyone complaining should also look at their own attitudes and behaviour!! I have never had a problem with anybody, quite the reverse, they go out of their way to help when they can. The Practice has a number of helpful activities for those who want to participate and all in all they do a good job |
