The Pulteney Practice

I have been fortunate enough to be a patient of this practice for the last 2.5 years. The staff are always very helpful, both the reception staff answering the phones and greeting patients and the GPs, HCA and nurses. The level of care is outstanding- I have always managed to get a telephone GP appointment on the day needed and follow up face-to-face appointments when necessary. The GPs have been very professional, but also thoughtful and kind. This is a 5* surgery!

In a time when we are bombarded by negative reports on the NHS by the media, I feel it is important to redress the balance by giving this review on the practice I attend. Firstly the booking system is excellent, should I need access to a doctor, a phone call answered by the superb reception team who take my details and arrange for a doctor to call me back. Within an hour I get a call from a doctor who listens patiently to my symptoms and should I need to be seen an appointment is made the same day. The doctors are always so caring, patient and treat me with respect. At the end of session I am very satisfied that the doctor has explained everything to me regarding the diagnosis and treatment. Any referrals for treatment at a hospital are initiated on the spot. Having a pharmacy next door to the practice means any medicines required are immediately available. Both my partner and I use the practice and firmly believe it is the best in Bath and are really happy with all aspects of the practice, reception staff, nurses and doctors give outstanding service to their patients.

Best thing about this surgery is that in my experience it is always possible to be seen by a doctor. Have always received sympathetic hearing and then been referred to relevant service if necessary. Have been coming to this surgery for fifteen years and never had a complaint.
