I needed an appointment and was able and to book one online for the following week - not bad at all given the large patient numbers.
The doctor saw me within minutes of the appointment time, and while I never mind waiting as I know that some consultations must take longer than others, I appreciated being seen so quickly. It was a doctor who had not met me before and he took the trouble to listen carefully and take seriously what I was saying. He suggested blood tests, an ECG and a 24 hour heart monitor explaining his reasons. I went straight to Guys where the blood tests and ECG were completed in record time. I was back at the surgery with the report in my GP's hand by 10.30 having initially be seen at 9.10.
A fantastic service for which I am very grateful. |

I have been a patient here for many years and never am I seen within 40 minutes of my appointment time. Every appointment is running late, without apology or communication.
Reception staff are rude and disrespectful- for example, when politely explaining to them that after 40 minutes I have to leave to attend a job interview (I took the only appointment I could get) and could they please reschedule me for later in the day, I was told “no- you are not urgent”. When the receptionist has no clue what my appointment is about, I think this is completely out of order for her to say to me.
Further, when I moved to the surgery, following my first appointment the surgery lost my medical record. I required to see my vaccination record before travelling and my record was lost for months (meaning I could not get the vaccinations I required). The file was later found in one of the GP’s rooms, months later. |
