Fort house surgery Dr and reception staff are fantastic and helpful. Great to joit down health concern and Dr phones you and only books you if only really necessary. |

I love the new system. I just write out my problem and get a call back from a Dr that day often in the afternoon. If I miss the call I just call back and the receptionists books a call back. So much better than having to sit waiting in the surgery. If the Dr wants to see me they send appointment times to choose from. It would be helpful if the system allowed you to use it after hours and not just in working hours. |

I have always recommended Forthouse surgery but I have to agree with the reviewer that the new system of electronic form filling to request an appointment is not intuitive and and makes it impossible to plan appointments that are not deemed urgent. I rarely require doctors appointments but do feel miffed that I requested a follow up urgent appointment when I noticed my dog bite injury had worsened and wanted advice on cleaning, dressing it and to request an extension of antibiotics and the receptionist was insistent I go to a Walk-in centre. Having experienced an awful experience two days prior at A and E I felt frustrated that I could not attend a nurse or doctor apt in my own surgery. I also find it ridiculous that of you miss a call back from a doctor you have to re complete the online form to request another call rather than the doctor try again. The nurses and doctors remain good, it’s the administration around appointments that’s frustrating. I felt the receptionist should have respected my request to see a doctor rather than expect me to travel to another town to a Walk In. |
