Apart from the medical care and attention provided by a GP surgery (doctors and nurses), the most important issue is being able to get an appointment when needed - not two or three weeks later which one sometimes hears about. The lantern surgery has always been able to provide a timely and effective (medical) service and the on-line appointment booking system works very well. | ||||||

The option to email queries, via the Practice’s website, is really useful. I use this option whenever I have a query that needs a clinical response, but doesn’t need to take an appointment slot (if I am incorrect with this decision the Practice Manager will advise me to book an appointment in her email response). The service is useful and works for all parties - the patient and the Practice. | ||||||

I moved to the area three years ago and had to leave an excellent doctors where I used to live. I spent quite a bit of time looking at reviews of the local surgery’s and came to the conclusion that this was the best option. I wasn’t disappointed, the care I receive every time I have an appointment is fantastic. One Dr in particular makes this surgery. She is kin, caring & thoughtful and always has mine and my family’s best interests at heart. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this surgery to friends and family. | ||||||
