Today I had an ingrown toenail removed, the care was exceptional (as always) and I was put at ease immediately by an extremely friendly, understanding and caring doctor. The team involved were Absolutely Brilliant and even though I was scared I felt completely safe in their hands, thank you. Moatfield Surgery is simply the Best! I have been a patient at this surgery for just over 2 years and I feel blessed. I go for regular blood tests every 2 months and the care and treatment I receive is second to none. This may sound odd, but, seriously, it's always a pleasure to go to Moatfield Surgery because I know I will always be treated with care and consideration, no matter how busy they are, nothing is too much trouble. The receptionists are friendly and helpful, the Doctors and Nurses are exceptional (especially the nurse who takes my blood every 2 months, he's the only one who has ever managed to get blood from me on the first attempt, Kudos and thanks to him) We are so Lucky to have you, thank you, to all the Doctors, Nurses, and Receptionists ... You're Absolutely Brilliant! |

I have recently moved to the area and me and my wife are registered with this practice for about three months. During this time i have had situations where i booked emergency appointment and was offered one every time. The staff here deals in a very polite manner and amazing clinical staff. They give proper time and listen to our compaints and deal with them whole heartedly. Only today i had very severe asthama attack and chest issue and the lady doctor spent around 30 mins helping me out and offered great treatment and i feel better now and very happy in writing this review. If only we can have all surgeries working in this professional way.
Amazing in every way.
Best practice.

Despite stating on NHS Choices that this practice covers a wide area and being only 3.1 miles from my postcode I have been told that I cannot register at this practice.
NHS England have said that GP practices have the right since 2015 to opt in and out of catchment areas and so can only advise that I raise this directly to the practice manager of Moatfield Surgery if they say that I am out of catchment as they can use their discretion to register a patient out of catchment area.
Unfortunately they cannot influence a practice to take on a patient as they are a private business with a NHS contract and so the decision to register or not would be up to them.
I am very disappointed therefore how Moatfield Surgery have dealt with my request to register and consider it very unfair that I have been told that I have no choice as unfortunately due to where I am living the only practice that can register me is Lingfield which currently does not capacity. There are no safety reasons as to why I cannot travel this extra distance. |
