Impossible to get a face to face appointment , and don’t even try to see your allocated GP.
Telephone consultation easier, however if you dare to talk to them 2 days in a row then they put you through to secretaries even though they had nothing to do with problem.
GP’s don’t examine you thoroughly.
Receptions are just blank rude and some doctors too | ||||||

I love the way they work here, if I want a routine appt I book 2-3 weeks in advance which works fine as I go monthly for years (chronic illness). My GP is absolutely fantastic and has been very supportive over the years.
If you are acutely ill, you call up for triage and a Dr rings you (usually very fast, but if demand is high they will always get to you even if it's past closing time. Which is amaxing) and at that point give advice, a prescription or an appt to be seen the same day. If under 5 years old you just get a same day appt automatically. I just can't fault this system at all.
Another reviewer stated that you can't see your own Dr who knows the history etc. But I found I will see a duty Dr and follow up 2-3 weeks later with my Dr.
Now the icing on the cake... I was housebound for a long time, and they offer telephone appts! It means I didn't suffer at home, and still had regular contact with my GP. And when I got sick with an infection they did a house visit the same day. No quibbles.
Yes some Drs are better then others. But overall a very good practice.
The reception staff are hit and miss though. Some are fab, and some are awful, but at least they aren't the Drs. | ||||||
