If you have mental health problems, avoid this place like the black death. Dismissive and rude GPs who will keep sending you to useless charities and when you go back, you are told to go private. Kept me going round in circles for years. If you want at least 30 seconds thought put into the medication they give you, go elsewhere. I now have bi-lateral tinnitus because of the lack of thought put into the meds I was given. Again, when you speak with them ,they have no idea why you are there. If you want to make a complaint and don't want to speak with them at work, you have to use up your holiday to call them because the woman who deals with complaints, won't call you past three o clock. The standards of service at this surgery are offensive (they know the services they are sending you to are rubbish). I was also told they have only started to record calls in the last 6-8 months(!) and my complaint will be handled by the person who I made the complaint about(!)-so they audit themselves and apparently there is no-one above them that I can speak to. They know the levels of service are diabolical but seem happy with them as they are not the ones on the receiving end-toffs pretending to be GPs. You are supposed to be in their care but they could not give two hoots where they send you, even after you are blue in the face from telling them that you are getting worse. But don't worry, there's a therapist at Newbridge Surgery for £100 an hour if you can afford it. If you can't afford to go private, that's your problem. Even if you have expressed suicidal thoughts and feelings. But don't worry GPs of Newbridge Surgery, as long as you're getting paid, right? |

I’ve been a patient at the surgery for about 25 years and I have always found the doctors and nurses to be very friendly and knowledgeable in dealing with my various ailments! I have find it easy to make appointments for any serious matters. My friends say that they often have to wait weeks for an appointment at other surgeries in Bath. CRK |

I have found the GPs in this surgery to be more interested in saving money than helping.
I suffer from serious mental health issues and was constantly told to go private by a Dr. Or to have a cist removed from the back of my head is plastic surgery(!) and to go private. A surgery where if you need your GPs signature to renew your passport, it will cost you ten pounds. No wonder I had not returned for almost 4 years. Had an appointment with another Dr today who had no idea why I was there(results from my blood test). Spoke to me like my mental health issues where my fault. Then told me I have seborrhoeic dermatitis like I should know what that means, and to go and look it up on a website. Outrageous. |
