As an Armed Forces Veteran with specific medical needs they are useless, I was a St Lukes patient and since the closure of the New road surger accessibility withing brixham has all but dissapeared. Having had some recent health issues trying to get an e-consult or appointmet is impossible. The e-consult is always temporarily suspended and telephone lines always engaged. It would seem by swallowing up all these other surgeries they have taken on more than they can deal with. I am currently in the process of registering with another GP. |

Dear Sir/Madam After receiving a letter from your pharmacist on the 13/01/2023 to collect a new blood test meter from Cherrybrook I collected it on the morning of the 17th and after getting it home I quickly became confused by the massive amount of information on its setup and use. I contacted Mayfield medical on 01803 495400 in the morning of the 18th and asked to speak to the pharmacist to ask about this tester but was told they would get them to contact me. 48 hours (about 2 days) later and I have had no contact which only confirms the level of incompetence at this surgery yet again you have failed in a minor request which only concludes that after the last time you failed to sack the broken cog in your operation. If you can be bothered to follow up on my request, then we will discuss the problem but I will not hold my breath and one other thing what is the point giving out testers without needles should I use a knife Klingon style to get blood. |

I have consistently been unable to access any gp services from this surgery. I have spoken to a gp twice on the phone in over 6 years and seeing a gp appears to be non existent. Phone lines are often closed and when open waiting times are excessive and the Web booking system is often down. There is no other way to communicate it seems. I have complained to the surgery which has to be done in writing by letter ( funny how the surgery uses old technology for this) and my last letter dated 11th April 2024 and hand delivered has apparently been totally ignored. Strongly advise not to use as they appear to have no care for the patients. |
