Morchard Bishop Surgery

I have only been to this surgery twice having moved to the area, I rarely go to the doctors as I find they do not have much time to give advice.. only prescriptions and this surgery is no exception . I have been given no advice re my condition, I feel they assume I am faking it (RSI) and suggested Iprofen.. and to accept that the way it is.. I am in extreme agony and yet whenI asked about time off work as my work involves a lot of driving, this suggestion was met with a glazed look and I was advised to go statutary 5 days then back to work. Never mind the fact that I cannot get my car in gear to the extremity of pain.. very very disappointing.. They did not even have the decency to look at my notes .. When I went to day for the second time, i was met by doctor who said oh your the substance misuse worker.. funny how they know my employment ( I am actually a counselor)and yet don't know my history.. am now looking to transfer.... I feel I was judged on my occupation as opposed to my condition.. shame they did not offer to test for drugs ! pfffft this written by me who in the last 10 years has had maybe 10 days off?

I have had a number of reasons to visit the surgery over the last few years and I've always been satisfied. It's also a real significant shame that there is no longer a physio available there, since patients in need of physio are the ones less likely to find it easy to travel elsewhere. However those things said the practice nurse, the admin staff and gps, especially my doctor are all superb and provide a good, efficient and caring service, the surgery is always a comfortable place to visit and provides an essential service well.
