This surgery have given excellent care to my family for over 50 years, We have seen the surgery move from the doctor's house to its current pleasant building. We have seen excellent doctors and nurses and front of house staff come and go, but we have great confidence and respect for the current team.It is a real tragedy that it is to be taken over by Mitchedean. It is clear that the professionals here are patient-centred and interested in delivering good quality evidence based medicine. There is a deep awareness of the community and its make up. Families and individuals are known well. It is important to have physicians who are interested in people and medicine and are there in their surgeries to be with their patients and are not distracted by CCG business and CV development. At Drybrook we know our physicians are committed to the Drybrook patient population. It would be disastrous for it to become a second rate branch surgery of Mitcheldean, prior to closure which is implied in the nightmare of a new sugery serving both villages, with a demographically ageing populations that would disadvantage the inhabitants of whichever community does not get the promised new build. All this making the surgery less accessible and paradoxically increasing the need for home visits, depending on the longterm sustainability of public transport between the villages. Has anyone thought about a social impact analysis of systematically dismantling an excellent and effective GP surgery. Small is beautiful as Schumacher asserts. You are giving up a model of delivering excellence. Think again! |

We've been with this surgery for a number of years. Our doctor especially has been unfailingly great in providing care to the whole family from birth upwards and has never once let us down. She is gentle, kind and honest and very professional and will go out of her way to help with all aspects of health and/concerns. She is quick to refer for further treatments and explains the reasons if no treatment is needed. We cant thank them all enough for the excellent care we've received. This includes the pharmacy staff too. |

I don't go to the Doctors' often but the one time I was unwell I was able to get a same day emergency appointment and I am pleased with how my family have been treated at the surgery. The staff are really polite and helpful |
