I've experienced great care from Parish Fields over the years. This was exemplified today when I arrived early for my appointment, went in early, and had received my antibiotics from the nearby pharmacy by 11:34 (my appointment was meant to be at 11:30!). Over the last 11 years I've been seen by the doctor regularly due to mental health issues. She has supported me to several different medications and helped me find talking therapies when indicated too. I always felt listened to and that my choices were respected. I'm now well and am able to come off medication and the Drs (especially one doctor) are to be praised for the care they have given me during this time. I'm very thankful for the time taken by them to help me. |

I have been with this doctors since last year I suffer with mental health problems I can never get a appointment as all the appointments are gone within 20 mins of opening and when I do get a appointment im in and out with minutes every doctor i have seen has been rude and not sympathetic at all I have even been brought to tears by a doctor who become aggressive towards me when trying to explain my sytoms.but the thing that really worried me about this practice is that this doctor weened me off my anti depressants to fast and I become really unwell I ask a pharmacies about my sytoms and she said that I was weened off way to quick and helped me more in 10 mins than I have had from this shambles of a doctor's in 1 year. No one with any disability should made to feel the way I have . Reply from Parish Fields Practice Thu, 11 Jul 2019 11:21:40 +0100 I am sorry to hear that you feel you have had bad experiences as we strive to provide a professional and efficient service to our patients at all times. We are currently looking at different ways for patients to consult with our clinicians and hope to have a new system in place within the next few months which will reduce the pressure on the telephones and make booking appointments easier. I would be grateful if you could contact me so that I can look into the other issues raised in your comment as without more information, I cannot investigate this. Kind regards, Nicky Watson, Practice Manager. |

The medical staff are fantastic, however you are more likely to see the Easter bunny than get an appointment. When the practice opens any slot will be taken within 10 mins. The only thing more chaotic is the online system, in five years as a patient it has never worked even with help from computer programmer. if they can sort out the computers find a more accessable way of getting to see a medical professional then the practice would be world class. |
